Registration 2024

Online registration will be available for the 8 years – Senior age groups from 1 January 2024 through to 11 February 2024. Net player’s can also start registering from 1 January 2024 and will have until the 30th of April 2024. 

Both returning players and new registrations are welcome!

Thistles Facebook Huddle is the main source of regular communication throughout the season. Please go in and join so you can keep up to date with news.

We will open our Uniform shop on selected dates in March to purchase and/or pick up uniforms, drink bottles, hoodies and other merchandise. Dates will be promoted on Facebook Huddle and via team managers. 

Junior (10-17 Years)

Seniors (18+)

Day 1 commences on Saturday 6 April 2024.

Juniors (10-17 years)

Rotating timeslots have been reintroduced to the competition for juniors. The timeslots for each week of the season will be visible in PlayHQ prior to Day 1. Day 1 commences on Saturday 6 April 2024.  

Compulsory Thistles grading will be held for 10-14 years age groups in February. Dates are still to be confirmed. For these age groups, block teams will not be accepted. 

Compulsory SSNA practical grading will be held for club teams aged 10 years through to 15 years on Saturday 9 March 2024. This grading will determine your teams’ grade for the season. Please make sure you are available to play on this day. Times to be advised. 

A 15 years age group and a combined 16-17 years age group have been created for this season to replace last seasons U16 years age group.  

Net Set Go (8-9 years)

A Friday night competition has been introduced for this season. Games will be played on Friday evenings at Bellingara. The first timeslot will commence at 4:45pm. This competition replaces last season’s Saturday competition at Seymour Shaw. Day 1 commences on 5 April 2024.

Players turning 9 years who are interested in playing in the U10s need to contact the registrar BEFORE you register. Approval for a 9 years player to play in the 10s must be provided from THISTLES BEFORE registering.

They will only be accepted if they are required to fill a team for numbers. Interested players will be assessed based on the Coaches Report and will be required to attend the U10 Club Grading.

Net (5-7 years)

A Friday night competition has been introduced for this season. Games will be played on Friday evenings at Bellingara. The first timeslot will commence at 4:45pm. This competition replaces last season’s Saturday competition at Seymour Shaw. 

A fun Come N Try Netball session will be held for any players interested in playing Net or already registered to play. The session will be held on Saturday 17 February 2024. The session is free and everyone is welcome. More information to come.
